Lloyd's current backup band are all friends from Berklee, as is Leave the Light On's producer, Yan Perchuk, whom Lloyd quickly credits for the album's big-budget sound, despite the fact that it's a modest self-released recording.
"He took the demos that I had and really made them commercial radio-ready songs. And that's really all I could have asked for."
Her hard work has paid off, as Lloyd has been busy since the release of Leave the Light On. Among the CD release parties, television appearances, and festival dates in upstate New York, Lloyd experienced "the highlight of my career so far" when she opened for classic rock legends America in August and performed for a crowd of 10,000.
