Yan Perchuk is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer, and mixing engineer whose career includes participation in a Grammy nomination as mixing engineer on Stanley Clarke's "Last Train To Sanity." A Berklee College of Music graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Music Production and Engineering, Yan has spent over 20 years at the top echelon of the Los Angeles music industry, shaping records for artists including Shaggy (2x Grammy Award winner, Best Reggae Album), MonoNeon (Grammy Award winner, Best Rap Album, for Nas's "King's Disease"; former Prince bassist), Ledisi (Grammy Award winner, Best Traditional R&B Performance; 16x Grammy nominee), Wax (signed to Def Jam Recordings; breakout single "Rosana" hit #1 in Austria), Stanley Clarke (4-time Grammy Award winner; 2022 NEA Jazz Master), Siedah Garrett (Grammy Award winner, Best Song Written for Visual Media; 2x Academy Award nominee; co-writer of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror"), and Karen Souza (Billboard Top Jazz Albums chart entrant; signed to JVC Victor in Japan; "Creep" cover featured in The Zero Theorem).His work spans collaborations with major labels including Universal Music Group, Impulse Records, Dim Mak, BMG, and Disney Records—crossing pop, R&B, jazz, funk, and cinematic scores. Beyond the studio, Yan is a dedicated educator: a guest lecturer at Boston University's CDIA department on music composing for computer games, creator of the online course "Essential Mixing Techniques for Producers," and a former music instructor at "At Your Door" music school.
